On the latest installment of the CavsCorner Podcast, we spend the first part of the show focusing on UVa baseball as Damon explains what went wrong for the Hoos at the start of the year and what’s gone right for them lately as the home stretch arrives this week. Then, after introducing our new sponsor Andy Luedecke from MyPerfectFranchise.net, we circle back to football for a few to break down where things stand coming out of spring ball.

On the latest installment of the CavsCorner Podcast, we look back at the spring “game” and really all of all spring to talk about the things we feel more confident about and also to try to look ahead to the fall and what this spring means for the season ahead. And then we’ll dive into the commitment UVa basketball picked up this weekend when 6-foot-9 Polish power forward Igor Milicic committed to the Cavaliers. Episode 405: Chaos For Everyone
Tuesday Apr 20, 2021
Tuesday Apr 20, 2021
On this week’s episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we rejoin spring football conversations already in progress. The big news of the week of course was the ACL injury to Lavel Davis, a topic which is both timely and also a long-term one for the Wahoos (and certainly for this podcast). From there we work our way through the rest of the offense and then the defense before discussing the transfer portal and the bigger questions looming for the roster. And speaking of the portal, a former UVa hoops target is leaving another ACC school and fans are keenly interested in how that one turns out. That one definitely warranted a conversation, too.

And then we switch to spring football, where depth is abundant and there’s plenty of reason for optimism.

On this week’s historic episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we ring in 400 in style. We start with a conversation focusing on the craziness of the last week and the (hopefully still) pending NCAA Tournament matchup with Ohio. Then we share our conversation with Wahoo great Chris Long to talk about his recruitment, what he learned from Al Groh that’s helped him in life and football, how he went about his time in the NFL, how he landed on podcasting as one of his post-football endeavors, how deep the Wahoo love runs, and also the work his Waterboys organization continues to do. And then we finish with a conversation about these 400 episodes and what they have meant to us, especially in the last year.
