On this week’s episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we begin with the beginning of hoops season, as the fourth-ranked Wahoos laid waste to Towson on Wednesday afternoon. We get into the nuts and bolts of the opener, what stands out, what surprised us, and what we’re still wondering about after the rout of the Tigers. Then we move to the gridiron where we discuss the loss of Charles Snowden and what UVa will have to contend with in Tallahassee this weekend before we give our picks and then get another prop bet update.

On this week’s episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we spend the bulk of the show talking UVa basketball as the Wahoos get closer and closer to tipping off their 2020-2021 season later this month. We start with a conversation about the preseason ACC voting, where Virginia was tabbed as the favorite for the first time since 1982 and Sam Hauser made the first-team. We then get into the team itself, the mix of talent, and what “success” looks like for a roster this loaded that remains the reigning national champs. And once we wrap up our roundball discussion, we move to the gridiron where UVa will host Louisville this weekend. We preview the matchup and give our thoughts on how we see that game playing out.

On this week’s episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, before we recap UVa’s win over then-No. 15 UNC, we have to talk about the breaking news that the game against Louisville this weekend would be delayed a week due to COVID-19 at UL. Once we’ve digested that part of things and kicked around our thoughts on what it means for UVa’s practice schedule, we discuss Virginia’s win over the Heels and what it tells us about the Hoos. Then for the first time in a while we transition over to hoops and discuss our expectations for this year’s team and how things might play out. And yes, we also talk about the new jerseys.

On this week’s episode of the CavsCorner Podcast we being by reviewing UVa’s disappointing loss to NC State and look at what went into the issues we saw from the start. We then move into discussing this weekend’s matchup in Winston-Salem as the Wahoos face the kind of team that you shouldn’t expect will make a whole lot mistakes. After give our predictions for that one, we move to the news out of the NCAA this week about players in winter sports getting an extra year of eligibility and the idea of one-time transfers without being forced to sit out a year.
