Episode 356: Retroactively Salty
Wednesday May 06, 2020
Wednesday May 06, 2020
On the latest episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we answer some (but not anywhere near all) of the “what if” questions we received related to UVa football. In the first part of what seems like it will end up being a series, we discuss last year’s win over Tech, Bryce Hall’s injury, the loss in the Military Bowl, and Khalek getting off the field. But the majority of this show falls on one question, which is perhaps the biggest in Wahoo football lore: What if Ronald Curry actually came to UVa?

On the latest episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we have plenty to discuss when it comes to all things UVa sports. We start with a quick recap of the NFL Draft and where various former Hoos landed both during and after. We then turn our attention to football recruiting, where the Cavaliers continue to reel in impressive commits left and right. And before this episode ends, we have a rather frank (and lengthy) discussion of last week's release of new logos, secondary marks, and other design elements. Because we have some takes. Of course we do.

On the latest episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we discuss two important decisions for UVa football in the last week. First Indiana running back transfer and Hopewell native Ronnie Walker announced his decision to head to Charlottesville to finish his college career and then four-star Rivals250 outside linebacker Josh McCarron announced his commitment to the Hoos. Finally, we dive into the upcoming NFL Draft where several former Virginia standouts figure to be in the mix, as we highlight several including the situations facing both Hasise Dubois and Bryce Perkins.

On the latest episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we discuss the decision by Rice transfer wing Trey Murphy to commit to the Wahoos and what it means not just for the near future but also for the years ahead. We also get into the rumors about five-star 2021 guard Trevor Keels possibly committing soon, at least until those rumors were put to bed on Tuesday afternoon. Oh, and we also talk about haircuts. Or, more precisely, a lack of haircuts.

On the latest episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we catch up after another week of no sports and no leaving the house, which allows us to revisit a number of random topics including musical hot takes. We eventually get into the fact that UVa football won’t have spring football this year and what that could mean before segueing to the replays of the title run last year and what it was like to relive those moments.

On the latest episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we look back at the crazy way the 2019-2020 season ended and how unreal it all feels. We’ll share our thoughts on the team and the season, as we look back on an interesting (if also unfulfilling) year for the Hoos. We’ll also get into the loss of spring football and how missing those key practices might impact the team this fall. And finally, we’ll take off the sports frame and just talk about what it means to live right now in a world that seems so incredibly strange.

On this postseason edition of CavsCorner Conversations, we come to you live from Greensboro to preview UVa's quarterfinal matchup with Notre Dame. Tuesday Mar 10, 2020
On the latest episode of the CavsCorner Podcast, we look ahead to this week’s ACC Tournament and preview UVa’s side of things. We’ll get into some of the potential matchups in Greensboro and break down how we see it playing out. Unfortunately, there’s also the threat that this event is the sole postseason opportunity for the Hoos given the potential for the corona virus outbreak to require substantial changes to the NCAA Tournament, if not forcing its outright cancellation. We’ll discuss some of the issues surrounding that and much more.
